I now have the link for the voting so we can get Takanori's new movie "Corazon de Melon" to air here in NY!!
Please vote as often and as much as you can for it!
Taken from </a></font></b></a>[info]tmrevolutionist, written by [info]steveyshock

" New York - Tokyo, has procured the rights to air Corazon de Melon as part of the New York - Tokyo Film Grand Prix 2008 and could potentially choose to premiere it for the first time in the world, in Manhattan.

There's a bit of a catch. The film is also competing against a number of other films in the same genre for airing privaleges. How can you make a difference? The selection process is handled by a completely democratic process. Users get to vote for the film that they want to see make it to the Grand Prix 2008."

Shadow over the world
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya

I love this song.

and the vid went along nicely with it. I especially love the acoustic version bit that was partially shown here.

Translations were NOT done by me, but by [info]patipati(rachel).

Shadow over the world

Flying bullets crossed the sunny sky,
A frightned person's voice rings out,
The peaceful days are dyed red and everyone saw it

Everything in this world that happens, has a reason.
I wonder if I can ever understand and calm this sorrow

What's in your heart? With a hundread thousand lives,
Tell me what's in your mind? riding on it,
This star continues to turn quietly, while we are tempted*

The morning still comes in a faraway country
Like a light over ruins, your warmth embraces my broken heart

In this seemingly calm down I'm use to
I'm a fool to repeat this pattern o floving and hating you
everyday+

How can I protect my loved ones?
How can I send the lost souls to heaven?

What's in your heart? With a hundred thousand lives,
Tell me what's in your mind? riding on it,
This star continues to turn quietly, while we are tempted

Can you hear it? In the night I gently play this requiem
_______________________________________
*These sentances are broken up they should be read as
"With a hundread thousand lives riding on it, This star
continues to turn quietly, while we are tempted."

+It's implied that the reason for him being a fool is because the person is gone and he is berating himself for not being able to let go.

Birthday Time!
[info]kitsunekaya
woo I can use this icon!!

Although it's now the 4th in Japan, and I sent an e-mail yesterday, I still wanted to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIRO!!!
lots of lovins on your birthday hopefully from Daichan ^^

Also I'm addicted to this manga called "W Juliet" and I like to listen to access' Juliet while reading it XD.

Oh and this morning we had to go in early for a student council meeting and they announced positions for next year, and I got Tresurer!! Mariele got advertiser, an Brian got public relations! yay for us!

Also Abrams rode her bike to school today(and yesterday) lol and 7th period she sent me to go TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SCHOOL to get her bike for her. XD People kept giving me the weirdest looks, but no one ever questioned what I was doing, where was I suppose to be, or who it was for lol I could get away with murder! Murder I tell you!! lol jk

Shrines and/or temples
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
While in Japan we got to visit after different temples/shrines and we were taught to do certain things while near them, or before entering one.

This one we couldn't enter we just could look and take pictures
It had a, box-like thing in front of it were you could throw any donations in. We were told that throwing 5 yen coins were good luck. So throw those if you have them! (I actually was bad and threw alot of 1 yens that I had XD)

Tokyo building
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
Just because you're inside a government building doesn't mean that you're in a smoke free environment people, this is the wall that they smoke behind. And even though there was no one there at the time the place reaked heavily of smoke.

A view of Tokyo from the top floor of the government building.

Shabu shabu
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
So for one of our first dinners in Japan we went to a resteraunt and had shabu shabu! It's basically where you have thinly sliced meat and vegetable pieces and you cook them in the boiling water. It really doesn't even need to be in the water for long at all. A minute will usually suffice. There are also a couple of dipping sauces for you to use with the meat. We also had soba noodles that we added into the water to cook and you can see the results of that under the cut lol ^^'

when there is a chance of rain
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya

everyone immeditetly gets their umbrellas out, so make sure you carry one with you at all times when rain clouds are present.

Not kidding, when I did the homestay the mother took us out to a park and there were lots of clouds out and after about half and hour you started to feel a very light mist and she told us to put our umbrrellas up. Normally I wouldn't have, but seeing as I was in a different country I just did, but really there was hardly any rain at all.

I miss these so very much...
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
Crepes!!!!

They are soooooo good and I miss them dearly ;-; anyone who goes to Japan please get one and eat it for me. The first one I ever ate had bananas in it, my little trubite to Hiro.

From everyday to no way
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya

Yeah so no matter where you go, you can always find abit of that everday 7 Eleven goodness right around the corner.
Didn't actually get a chance to go in it since we were on a bus at the time, but hey it's a good picture.

Now something that isn't exactly 'everyday' is some of their toliets......
Meet the Japanese toliets

and if by chance you said "no way", WAY people, way.
Not the most comfortable way to going to the bathroom, but some people from my delegation actually liked it better then the western style ones they said.

small Japanese signs
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya

(on the bottom of the mirror in the bathroom)
(on the inside of the elevator doors)

The Japanese have signs that actually make you want to hed the warnings and/or do what it says (if you can read it XD hahaha)
They were just so cute that Ihad to take a picture of them. And these where both taken in the Tokyo government building on our second day there. More to be seen of that day at a later time.

Breakfast...
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
ahhhh... I miss being able to start my mornings off with breakfasts like these....

My first breakfast in Japan

and you may not think that you'd like to eat fish early on in the morning, but it's actually really good ^^
So was the rice porridge, and miso soup.

Streets
DA is sad :(
[info]kitsunekaya
Our first night there we had to walk about 10 minutes from the hotel to the resteraunt and while we were waiting to cross a street I took these pictures.

Empty...

Full!

You had to move pretty quickly otherwise you'd lose everyone and/or get swept away... or at least I would have since I'm a horrible gaijin cause I'm 5 feet tall ;-; They all taller then me.
